'No, that isn't right. You'll need to take more. If I'm to have my house hating me so early this year, I want it to be for something big, something . . . worth it.'
Seth grinned, his eyes twinkling. He revelled in bothering people like this. Late at night, ticked off head boy, cold corridors. They made a perfect recipe for a very large gap in house points between Slytherin and the other houses, which meant he would most likely disappoint the mater and Augustus even more. Scratching his chin, Seth leaned back against the wall and yawned.
'Only make it fast, Lupin. I'm cold and the kitchens will only be tempting for so long.'

Orion wasn't too surprised as Seth asked him to take more points, it seemed to him that it was a small mission to purposefully piss of his fellow slytherins when losing house points. So that was what he had been up to, going to the kitchens. Orion had pondered on doing the same, but then realized he wasn't all too hungry and had abandoned the idea. Sticking his wand once more in his back pocket, he recrossed his arms across his chest.
"Fine have it your way." he said before thinking of a large two digit number. "Thirty points from Slytherin." he said quite clearly, he could have taken off more seeing as Slytherin was currently in the lead this early in the year. "Hows that?" he wasn't really asking him, since when did the Head Boy need approval from another student when taking off house points?

The kitchens were looking less appealing by the second. Pondering over possibly losing Slytherin the house cup that year, Seth nearly missed hearing Lupin's answer. Thirty? Such a small number, but it would have to do for the night. There were always prefects milling about, just waiting to take points from rude Slytherin boys such as himself. Oh, but wouldn't his house loathe him for losing them a chance at the cup? He would need to work hard this year, getting points taken. It was becoming increasingly difficult, what with the professor beginning to catch on. He would have to work on it subtley.
'Tell me, Lupin. Have I got any chance at all of becoming a prefect? I always fancied wearing one of those badges. It'd be absolutely fetching on me, don't you think? Really gorgeous colour, that gold, and the mater'd be so proud of me. What do you say, mate? Think they'd consider me if I promised a good show?'
Grinning mischievously, Seth ran a hand through his hair, pushing it away from his face. There had been a time when he actually considered becoming a prefect, but that ambition died quickly. There was no room in Seth's life to be an authority figure. Not as if they'd have him anyway. He didn't fill the 'qualifications' necessary to be a prefect.

Orion could tell that thirty points didn't even dent how Seth felt about losing house points all together. But as Orion wasn't much in the mood, an obscenely large loss of house points would have to wait for another night and possible another student all together. Though it wouldn't bother Orion much to let the Slytherin's blame Seth for all their problems. Seth's question on prefects caught him a bit off guard and he took a second to think on it.
He himself had been a prefect, his father had been proud to say the least. Not that Orion cared what his father thought. His mother on the other hand was proud as well, but she much rather liked to give him tips on how to bend the rules and avoid trouble and stuff of the sort. "Maybe." He said thinking aloud. "A small chance, but you would have to avoid trouble and do positively outstanding this year." Orion explained out loud. He really wasn't sure what the qualifications for a Prefect were, so this was his best guess. "And get on the professors' good sides rather than bad and all things of the sort."
Orion shrugged. When his letter for Prefect had arrived for him before the start of his fifth year it baffled him. He had no idea how he had managed something like that. Maybe it was one of the perks of Lupin being his last name, but he still didn't like it.
(yay, I found some muse. Though its still low.)

The corner of his mouth twitched ever so slightly, yet he managed to remain po faced, doing his best to apear ambitious and worthy of the role of a prefect.
'Seems I've been going about it all wrong for years, haven't I?' asked Seth, his nostrils flaring. 'Well, this shan't do at all. If I'm going to be Minister of Magic one day, I shall need a good, solid background as a Prefect, and then Head Boy, I suppose. Any advice about that one, Lupin? Besides being an uptight git, I mean.'
Tugging vaguely at a strand of black hair, Seth stepped forward a bit. It was his favourite method of making people uncomfortable. His height had its advantages, as did a certain recklessness that permeated him. Seth found that people did not enjoy having his face merely inches from theirs; They did not appreciate his complete disregard for personal space.
'Of course, Minister of Magic is vastly underrated, isn't it? And they wouldn't want me mucking it all up --- filthy Irish boy that I am. I'm afraid I just don't have the drive to be a Prefect. And anyways, I've already lost enough house points to last Slytherin ages, haven't I? You're pleased, I'm sure, Lupin. Slytherin will lose the house cup for the first time since the days your beastly father worked here, won't it?'
