As the sun began to rise naturally outside, it was mimicked by the artificial windows, in the 6th years girls dormitory, underneath the Slytherin common room. It naturally began to gently awake the girls that lay within the room, well all apart from one. Octavia had hardly gained any sleep that night. She had just had one of those restless nights, where no matter how much you tossed or turned you could, you could seem never to drift off to the land of nod. Normally Octavia would consider getting up, and strolling around the castle; but the last time that she did she narrowly missed getting caught by Professor McGonagall, something that really would not be advised. So this time she opted, rather wisely to stay where she lay, and hope that sleep came to her; which it did not!
So now as most of her friends began to stir, and then one by one leave for the great hall in search of a hearty breakfast. Octavia continued to lay where she was, hidden under the covers pretending to be asleep. She really did not feel like moving; her bed was warm, and the room around her was cold, even with the fake sun, trying to make it appear warm. Thought in her heart Lottie knew she had to move, so with a heavy sigh she slither out of her bed, placed some clothes upon her figure, and left for the common room.
Entering the basement common room, she was relieved to see that it was empty. She did not feel like being sociable yet, but when she caught her reflection in the mirror, she was even more relieved. For her hair was standing up on its ends, so much so, that it look as if she had received a rather nasty electric shock. Quickly grabbing her brush, and tie from her bag she tried her best to tame it, luckily she managed to pull it back into a neat-ish high ponytail, and with one last check, she departed from the common room.
Finally she reached the top; of what felt like the never ending stairway to the entrance hall. She was hit face on, with the noise that was being strongly emitted from the great hall. Normally she would embrace to noise, and would just hype her up for the upcoming day, but a Octavia who had had practically no sleep was in no mood to be hyper. Even when she heard her name being called by god knows who, she continued to walk in a zombie like way towards the great hall.
