Personality:
If you could describe Greg in words the most common one would be lazy. Yes, it is very true. He is slightly lazy, but he can do things by himself. The only reason he's called "lazy" is because he sleeps most of the day. It seems that he can never get enough sleep, even with the fourteen or so hours he sleeps for. It doesn't really matter to him, he just likes to sleep, to which, there is nothing wrong with that. Though, he tends to be a bit on the upset and angry side if he doesn't get enough sleep. So, you might not want to wake him up. Simple?
Another word to describe him would be childlike. Greg tends to act like a kid, and he has no problem with that. He likes to be wacky, while most people think he's messed up in the head. He likes to dance around with a so called turban on his head. It's just who he is, and that's how he wants to stay. It seems that his immature behavior is just his way of being funny. Though, he tends to be a bit on the annoying side at times. You just need to get past that.

Greg's hair is the most important thing to him. It can never stay the same, and is always changing; going from spiked to slightly long and curly. He always fixing it, but can never find a way to make it the way he wants. In other words, he's very picky about his hair, and that is really the only thing about his appearance that gets the most attention, due to its ever chagingness. As for the rest of his appearance, Greg has brown eyes that, if you really think about it, are the exact same color as coffee. Sure, his eyes are another important feature, but they can't be changed like his hair, making them the second best. He's been told that he has a nice smile, but he doesn't believe it, seeing that he can't stand it. He tall as well, standing about 6'1, which if you think about it, is tall for a seventeen year old.

History:
Born in the summer, Greg never knew that amazing and admiring childhood that most kids had. Instead, he put up with yelling, screaming, and fights. He thought that it was the way that everyone lived; a father that would come home drunk and a mother that could care less what happened to anyone in her own family. The fights and yelling were something that he couldn’t change. After all, he was only six at the time, and they weren’t willing to listen to a six year old.
But things changed by his seventh birthday. His parents, John and Lily Drew, had been killed, murdered even. Greg never really knew what had happened to them, and he didn’t even care. He wouldn’t have to put up with the fights, the yelling, the screams, and the abuse that his mother had suffered. He had been put in an orphanage, but was forced to go to the funeral, even though no one else came. No other family members cared, and it was clear that no one was going to be coming to get him.
Greg spent the next three months in that orphanage, and was finally adopted by a rich, pureblood family. His new parents, George and Clare Sanders, had three of their own kids; two boys and one girl. He thought that he was going to have a great time here, and that he was going to be loved more then he had when his real parents had been alive and with him. But, boy, was he wrong.
The first thing that Greg had learned was that there was no crying in his foster parent’s home. Their own kids never shed a tear, but he got it the worst, seeing that he wasn’t blood related. They were taught to be strong, and were also given demonstrations. Greg was always the one that would have to be the volunteer. The abuse was back, but this time there was no yelling; no fights. Almost every day, he would wake up with bruises up and down his body. No one asked questions and no one cared.
When the letter that accepted him to Hogwarts came, he couldn’t have been happier, but things only got worse. His foster parents wanted him gone, out of their hair, but their dream was crushed when he came back after his first year to spend the summer. The beatings continued, but Greg got used to them. And once again, the thought that everyone lived this way came back, that no one cared about him, that no one wanted him in the first place.
Hogwarts had been the best thing that had happened to him, even if he found out that not everyone lived the way he did, but as he learned how other people lived, he made a few friends as well. Greg’s personality changed as well. His hair had made the most dramatic change, though; going from brown to dirty blond and spiked. He stopped being that shy kid, and turned into a wise guy. This caused his foster parents some problems and demanded that he changed back to the way he was when he first started, but this time, he stood up for himself and found himself in a load of trouble.
Greg’s third year rolled around, and his image hadn’t changed. He didn’t want it to change it, either. But as he was in a Potions class, his cauldron exploded, landing him in St. Mungo's for two months with burns that not even magic could heal. The healers said that the burns would get better, but there would be some scaring involved. That was the last time Greg ever set foot in a class room. He wasn’t sure if he was just scared that it would happen again, or if something worse would happen.
The Hogwarts years rolled by, and soon Greg was starting his seventh year. There had been a large amount of fighting that summer, leaving him with no place to stay and pride, due to leaving his father with a huge black eye. His mother never made a move to stop him from leaving, and neither did the rest of them. In fact, they were glad that he was going. That would be one less person that they would need to live with. It was bad enough being without a home, but Greg left for school anyway
