About You
Name/Alias: Lord Feral
Contact Information: The.Corporate.Lobster@hotmail.com
Your Character
Name: Cecil Sabian Marzel
Age: 17
Year: 7th
Birthday: March 13
Nationality: Egyptian-French, though Cecil was adopted by a British woman.
Hometown: Unknown.
Blood-type: AB Positive
Wand: Chestnut, 10”, Caladrius Talon, specializes in Defensive and Healing spells due to core material, though holds considerable skill with Transfiguration.
Personality: Cecil is an easygoing person, usually with a laconic smile on his face. There is constantly an air of secrecy around him, though, despite his friendly nature. He seems to slip into crowds and through tight spaces, causing him to disappear every now and again when speaking to someone. This bothers people slightly, but he seems to make up for it when he appears again, throwing a clever excuse out, laughingly apologizing. Has a tendency to watch certain people or things very closely, but can continue a conversation all the while through, almost like selective ADD.
He has a sort of charisma to him, and can get along easily with nearly anyone. Cecil does not let on to his ties with either side of the magical war, letting people assume he’s on one side or another, and playing along with it either way. He has ulterior motives for being at Hogwarts, and sometimes you can tell, but this is very rare, on the whole.
Generally, Cecil is a likeable person, which may be something dangerous..
Hobbies/Interests:
~People-watching
~Card games and gambling
~The occasional drink
~Cats
~Is often found writing in notebooks, though the contents are unknown, and the books never seen unless in his hands.
Strengths:
~Maths
~Healing spells
~Has an excellent sense of subtlety
~Is apt to make people laugh, or get them to talk to him
~Is extremely talented at being secretive
~Has an animagi form
~Predicting what people will do
~Hiding weaknesses
Weaknesses:
~Drowning
Appearance:
Cecil is very long-limbed, which gives him a sort of cat-like grace when he walks. Usually with a sort of knowing smile on his face, the boy’s easy nature is reflected in his posture, along with a sort of brightness to his eyes, making him appear perpetually amused with the world which he tends to be.
Cecil also has a habit of folding himself up. He’s flexible, and often sits with his knees pulled to his chest, or legs folded pow-wow-style. He has unusually long fingers, which add a touch of femininity to his appearance. His skin as a sort of warm-toast color, tanned to a pale gold-brown.
Hair Color: Dark charcoal colour with darker bits here and there.
Hair Style: Shaggy-ish, Somewhat messy, but in a sort of 'I'm too cool to care' way.
Eye Color: Warm honey-brown
Height/Body-type: 6 Feet even, Lanky, fine-boned, but with muscle structure. Very much a dancer’s body.
Distinguishing Features Cecil has a very balanced face, always calm, often laughing, with well-formed features, resembling people he’s never met, as he’s adopted.
Picture: (Picture to come)
History:
Cecil Marzel’s childhood is considerably foggy to him. He does not recall his birth mother or father, and only has vague flickers of memory in a children’s home outside of a larger city in southern France. He was adopted close to the age of six or so by a young, up-and-coming woman, who saw his unrecognized talent, and took him with her back to her home in London. As it turned out, she became very busy in her work, often leaving young Cecil in the care of the house workers, or simply to wander about on his own. This went on until close to the age of ten, explaining much of his unusual nature. Fending for oneself does that to a person. Or… at least, it did to Cecil. His mother’s training also helped a great deal. She only real time she spent with the little boy was to give him lessons in one particular topic: Cosima wanted to teach her adopted son how to become an animagus, for reasons unknown. Being rather clever, Cecil learned quickly, and had soon adopted a second form, that of a black cat. Left to friends of his own invention, and activities likewise, along with his talents for becominga very quiet creature, he started watching his adopted mother, following her, even eaves dropping once or twice. Or more than several times.
Cosima’s wheelings and dealings Involved both muggles and those of the magical persuasion. Dark secrets were traded and hidden, and, unknown to his mother, often overheard by Cecil.
She still had no idea how much knowledge her son had gained when he received his Hogwarts letter. Had she been aware, things might not have been very pleasant for Cecil, and he perhaps would not have began to attend the school of witchcraft and wizardry. Cosima would have become paranoid that he would spill vital information.
None the less, despite having gone off to Hogwarts after all, he covered up his deceitful mannerisms with a considerably laid-back attitude. This, in turn, made him less conspicuous, and gave him more of an opportunity to observe. He began collecting a nearly structured database of information, contained in a series of spell-protected journals, as well as the archive in his mind. He still regularly practiced his shape-shifting ways, which only aided him in his secrecy.
So now, in his seventh year, Cecil’s knack for listening in was at its highest value, and he still had not chosen anyone to present it to. Better to keep it to oneself, he had decided, and keep gaining more. These were dangerous times.
House Preferences: Gryffindor or Slytherin, most likely, though Ravenclaw would work too. He’s too devious to be in Hufflepuff.
secret word?: -shhhh..not so loud-
